Pursuing Excellence

Parents are encouraged to be an active contributor of their time, talents and treasures upon becoming a member of Pisgah’s family. Active participation in your child’s educational experience truly enhances the results. Families are asked to support Pisgah’s mission over and above tuition through giving to a plethora of vehicles carefully and strategically crafted by parent volunteers and Pisgah leadership.

The Excellence Fund – Independent Schools are self-governed and self-supported. As a result, the pursuit and attainment of educational excellence requires additional tax-deductible gift annually to fill the gap that exists between tuition income and operating budget expenses.

This gap is called The Margin of Excellence. It is filled when parents and friends participate in The Excellence Fund, Pisgah’s annual fund program. Each fall, parents, faculty and friends are asked to support the mission of the school through a monetary gift or pledge that is paid by June 30th. Giving empowers Pisgah to recruit and retain the best faculty, provide superior academics and enrichment, and develop winners on stage and on the playing fields.

Capital Projects – The Pisgah Strategic Plan lays out the vision of the school and facility needs. As Pisgah grows, funds are sought to enable buildings to be built, refurbished, or land to be purchased. Currently, Pisgah is developing a 32 acre Patriot Athletic Complex that will house the football stadium, eight lane track, baseball and softball fields, regulation size soccer field, and a cross country trail. Parent, grandparent, foundation, and friend support is needed to make this dream a reality.

Designated Gifts – Pisgah offers its supporters many opportunities to support their areas of passion. Investors in the school’s mission have given designated gifts for science, technology, media, missions, fine arts and athletics.

Benefactors can choose from a variety of giving methods including gifts of cash, securities, appreciated assets, credit card, and planned gifts. The Office of Institutional Advancement staff is available to assist with planning your gift. You may reach the staff at 678.336.3421.
