Faculty

Great schools begin with great faculty. There should be do doubt that the superstars of Pisgah are the classroom teachers, and we have been blessed with an outstanding team.

Lessons learned here are not limited to academic disciplines – we’re preparing children for life, which is why it’s so critical that our faculty serve as the Living Curriculum, modeling the utmost in faith, learning, diligence, perseverance, courage, discipline, and leadership.

Our superior faculty teach only within their academic discipline and receive 60 hours of on-site professional development over and above instructional time annually. Pisgah faculty are also encouraged and supported to attend external seminars and workshops. Faculty have traveled to China to study geography and culture, attended workshops on Balanced Literacy and Differentiated Learning, and received summer study grants from the Loveday Foundation. Pisgah also offers its faculty a generous tuition reimbursement program to pursue advanced degrees.

Pisgah’s commitment to hiring only the best faculty available is the responsibility of Scott Smith, Director of Faculty Recruitment. Smith utilizes a variety of networks to find Pisgah’s shining stars.
